Josh Rothstein, MD FACEP
Board Certified Emergency Physician & Co-Founder of Atlanta Ketamine Center
Dr. Josh Rothstein is a board certified emergency physician, a fellow with the American College of Emergency Physicians and a member of the American Society of Ketamine Providers. He brings a dynamic blend of expertise and compassionate care to his role as co-founder of Atlanta Ketamine Center. With over a decade of dedicated service in emergency medicine, Dr. Rothstein’s career is distinguished by his commitment to providing critical care in high-pressure environments. Dr. Rothstein went to medical school at The Medical College of Georgia (MCG), and then refined his medical skills and leadership completing his residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Virginia (UVA) where he was chief resident in his last year.
In the emergency department, Dr. Rothstein has faced a wide array of medical challenges, equipping him with the ability to make swift, life-saving decisions. Over the years, he has led multiple committees and initiatives on finding alternatives to opioids in pain management and treating patients struggling with opioid use disorder. This work and his work in the specialized field of Ketamine therapy for mental health reflects his passion for exploring innovative treatments that have the potential to transform lives beyond many traditional medical approaches.
During his time off, Dr. Rothstein enjoys spending time with his wife, Joanna, (who is a nurse at Atlanta Ketamine Center), his two children, and 3 crazy rescue dogs.
Zach Lazarus, MD
Board Certified Anesthesiologist & Co-Founder of Atlanta Ketamine Center
With a robust background in anesthesiology spanning over a decade, Dr. Zach Lazarus is a graduate of the Medical College of Georgia (MCG) and board-certified anesthesiologist who has built a career on the pillars of expertise, innovation, and compassion. His journey in medicine has led him to co-found Atlanta Ketamine Center, a pioneering initiative aimed at harnessing the therapeutic potential of Ketamine for treatment-resistant depression among other conditions.
Dr. Lazarus's approach to patient care is deeply personalized, reflecting his belief in the uniqueness of each patient's journey towards healing. His dedication to the field of anesthesiology has been a driving force behind the center's commitment to exploring new treatment paradigms.
In collaboration with Dr. Josh Rothstein, Dr. Lazarus endeavors to create a space where cutting-edge treatment and patient-centric care converge, offering new hope to those seeking alternatives to traditional methods.
